The automotive industry is relying more and more on the serial field bus system FlexRay®. Compared to the widely used CAN bus, FlexRay® meets higher demands on data transfer security. Its communication system is deterministic and fault-tolerant, ensuring failsafe transfer of important messages (brakes, steering systems). Rather than being based on a master/slave concept, synchronization in FlexRay® is distributed across all participants, thus safeguarding especially reliable transmission.

Stiegele Datensysteme provides a FlexRay® interface for its measurement and control software MLAB. This allows MLab to receive and process sensor signals from the FlexRay® bus.
